Boko Haram strikes in Borno, kills police officer at Konduga

One police officer has been killed after Boko Haram insurgents in attacked a police checkpoint at Tunkushe village in Konduga Local Government Area of Borno State.

EON reports that the insurgents on motorcycles stormed the police checking point located about 20 kilometers to Maiduguri, the State capital at 12pm on Friday, 22nd January 2021.

A military source said that the attackers suspected to be from the Islamic State in West Africa Province (ISWAP), killed one police man and took their trucks while the other policemen scampered for safety.
