Boko Haram Commander abandons Leah Sharibu after giving birth

Shocking revelations have emerged that Leah Sharibu, one of the Dapchi schoolgirls, who was kidnapped two years ago has been abandoned by one of the Boko Haram commanders, who forcefully married and impregnated her.

IDOMA VOICE had reported that Leah, a Christian among 112 students kidnapped by Boko Haram insurgents in Yobe in February 19, 2018, was denied freedom because of her refusal to accept Islam in the terrorists’ den.

Report, however, emerged January that the young girl was impregnated by one of the commanders of the sect, and she was delivered of a baby boy.

However, latest report has it that the terrorist, who forcefully married and put her in a family way has divorced her.

Emmanuel Ogebe, International Human Rights Lawyer Specializing in Africa Issues Special Counsel, Justice for Jos Project, made the revelation on Wednesday in Abuja.

Ogebe, who has sent some of the Chibok schoolgirls outside Nigeria for studies, spoke at a press conference organised by Dunamis International Gospel Centre to mark the second anniversary of Leah Sharibu in captivity.

His words, “We have a credible information that the man who forcefully married and put her in a family way has divorced her.  Please, I have a message for you Boko Haram, lose Leah and let her go.”
