Two natives of Agatu Local Government Area of Benue State have been gruesomely murdered by suspected Fulani herdsmen.
A source who identified himself as Adole Jose Ehoda decried the sad incident via a Facebook post saying “I’m using this medium to reach out to the security operatives of an awful developments in Odugbeho Agatu.
“A comfirmed information reaching us after the Sunday and today’s fire incidents at Oshigbudu in Agatu local government of Benue state which claimed lives of innocent citizens that throw the entire local government in the state of mourning has it that one Mr. Simon Peter & Babayo met their untimely death after they left Aila heading to Odugbeho.
He went further to say that “Mr Elaigwu Moses Adokpa on a telephone conversation made it clear that they were mercilessly murder by suspected Fulani herdsmen.
“As at the time of filling this report they is great tension in Odugbeho Agatu as the whole villagers ran from the village to the neighboring village for safety.
“I’m calling on the federal and State government as a matter of urgency do the needful because up till this very moment no security have been deployed to the said community.” He added.
