BREAKING: 50 abducted Niger pupils escape, return home — CAN

The Christian Association of Nigeria (CAN) in Niger State has announced that the fifty pupils kidnapped from St. Mary’s Private Catholic Primary and Secondary Schools in Papiri, Agwara LGA, have successfully escaped from their captors.

In a statement issued on Sunday, Bulus Dauwa Yohanna, who serves as the Niger State CAN chairman and the Catholic Bishop of Kontagora Diocese, confirmed that the children regained their freedom between Friday and Saturday and had “quietly reunited with their families”.
