President Bola Ahmed Tinubu has announced the appointment of Dr. Abubakar Dantsoho as the Managing Director of the Nigerian Ports Authority (NPA). The appointment was confirmed in a statement released on Friday by the President’s Special Adviser on Media and Publicity, Ajuri Ngelale.
Additionally, President Tinubu has approved the appointment of Senator Adedayo Adeyeye as Chairman of the Board of the Nigerian Ports Authority (NPA).
Dr. Dantsoho brings a wealth of expertise to his new role, holding a Doctorate degree in Maritime Technology from Liverpool John Moores University, United Kingdom, and a Master’s degree in International Transport from Cardiff University of Wales, United Kingdom. Prior to his appointment, he served in various capacities within the Nigerian Ports Authority, including Assistant General Manager, Technical Assistant to the Managing Director, Port Manager of Onne Port, and Principal Manager of Tariff & Billing.
Senator Adeyeye, a distinguished lawyer, journalist, and politician, has previously served as Minister of State for Works and represented Ekiti South Senatorial District in the Senate.
President Tinubu expressed confidence in the new leadership of the NPA, urging them to uphold excellence in their roles to enhance port efficiency and foster positive outcomes for the industry.
