BREAKING: Agada declares Alia Benue APC guber candidate amid protest

EXCLUSIVE: Benue APC considers Austin Agada as Rev Fr Alia’s deputy

Austin Agada, chairman of the All Progressives Congress in Benue State, has declared Rev Fr Hyacinth Alia as the governorship candidate of the party ahead of the 2023 general elections.

Agada made the declaration on Monday at the campaign office of Alia in Makurdi, the Benue State capital.

I did not participate in APC primary that produced Rev Fr Alia as guber candidate – Lawani

This is coming amid protest by some aspirants.

IDOMA VOICE reports that some aspirants including Steve Lawani, Mike Aondoakaa, Terhemba Shiha, Mathias Buyam who vied for the ticket had described the exercise that produced Alia as guber flag bearer as a sham and must be cancelled.

They have all submitted their petition to the senatorial electoral panel.

Amid the controversy, Agada presented the party’s flag to Alia on Monday amid cheers.
