Suspected herdsmen Sunday night attacked a community in Agatu, killing two persons.

IDOMA VOICE gathered that the victims, identified as Anness Salahu, 28 and Ademu Efugoga, 25, were attacked between Egba and Ogbaulu communities on their way from an event around 6pm.

A cousin to the deceased, Barrister Napoleon Otache, who confirmed the incident to IDOMA VOICE, lamented that Agatu is currently under siege.

Otache decried the lack of security presence in the area while the attackers continue to unleash terror on the land.

“This insecurity in our land has assumed a dangerous dimension.

“Help of the federal government is urgently needed.
the agatu and apa enclave has been under siege by the fulani terrorists.

“If care is not taken, emirate council may be established in that axis.”
