Abakaliki, capital of Ebonyi State has erupted in violence once again as gunshots rent the air.
The violence which began over an hour ago caused panic in the city as residents ran in all directions.
It was not clear where the gunshots were coming from or who was firing but reports monitored online said the Central Police Station Onuebonyi has been set ablaze by suspected hoodlums.
Police and other security agencies are said to be engaging the hoodlums in a gun duel at the time of filling the report
