BREAKING: Agatu LG boss, vice impeached over alleged misapropriation of public funds

The Executive Chairman Agatu Local Government Council, Hon Mrs Comfort Echoda and her Deputy, Hon Joseph Ngbede have been impeached by Seven out of ten elected Councillors.

The impeachment of the former council boss and her deputy according to the councillors, was as a result of “Gross misappropriation of public funds, Misconduct of Local Government Affairs and Abuse of Executive Powers.

Those who signed the impeachment document concluded;
*Hon Alhaji Oyigocho-Leader and council Egba ward.
*Hon Oteyi Sunday-Deputy Leader and Councillor Oshigbudu ward.
*Hon Inalegwu Innocent-Councillor Odugbeho ward.
*Hon Mamuda Sani-Councillor Obagaji ward and former Majority Leader Agatu Legislative Council.
*Hon Abdullahi Yakubu-Councillor Usha ward.
*Hon Haruna I. Umar-Councillor Okokolo ward.
*Hon Ehoda Ogboche-Councillor Ogbaulu ward where the council chairman hails from.

The councilor representing Okokolo ward moved motion for vote of no confidence on the Chairman and her deputy which was seconded by the rest of the Councillors in attendance at Obagaji Agatu on Tuesday, 13th November 2018 during their sitting. Details on other media houses soonest.
