Air travellers stranded as workers block entrance to airport in Abuja

Chaos ensued at Nnamdi Azikiwe International Airport, Abuja, on Thursday as top government officials, their armed escorts, business guests, and numerous Nigerians were barred from entering.

Stranded vehicles, including those carrying air passengers, stretch over four kilometers to the airport gate.

IDOMA TELEVISION reports that the organized Labour had declared a total and indefinite nationwide strike action, starting from Tuesday, November 14, 2023.

The Nigerian Labour Congress, NLC, and Trade Union Congress, TUC, disclosed this after an emergency meeting in Abuja on Tuesday.

The labour unions had threatened to embark on strike over an attack on NLC President, Joe Ajaero, in Imo State last week.
