Senator Aishatu Dahiru Ahmed (Binani) has defeated a former Governor, Bindow Jibrilla and ex-EFCC Chairman, Nuhu Ribadu, to clinch the Adamawa APC governorship ticket.
Sen. Aishatu won by 430 votes, defeating former Governor Bindow who polls 103 votes, Mal. Nuhu Ribadu 288 votes, Hon. Namdas 94, Umar Otumba 39, & Wafari 21 votes.
She becomes the first female governorship candidate to win the governorship primaries in Nigeria’s main parties.
