Michael Aniekeme Meshach, widely known as Mish, the talented Ayaya singer from Akwa Ibom, has been reported dead. Mish, renowned for his hit song “Akwa Ibom Ayaya,” which gained immense popularity in 2011, has left a profound mark on Nigeria’s music scene.
“Akwa Ibom Ayaya” transcended borders, becoming one of Nigeria’s biggest songs of the year and charting internationally. Even years after its release, the song continued to enjoy widespread airplay across the nation.
According to a family member who confirmed his passing, Mish died in Abuja. He hailed from OBOT OKOH MBIAOBONG in Ibiono Ibom Local Government Area of Akwa Ibom State.
