BREAKING: Angry fans attack Super Eagles after 4-4 draw against Sierra Leone in Edo

Angry fans on Friday attacked the Super Eagles players in Samuel Ogbemudia Stadium amid heavy presence of armed security men.

This followed a poor outing against the Sierra Leone on Friday evening.

Nigeria were held to a 4-4 draw by Sierra Leone in an Africa Cup of Nations qualifier on Friday, after going 4-0 up in the first half.

Irked by their awful performance, fans at the stadium descended on them with stones and sticks, Brilla FM reports.

The fans blocked the entrance to the Samuel Ogbemudia Stadium and restricted the Super Eagles from leaving the stadium.

The timely intervention of security men saved them from sustaining injuries.
