BREAKING: Angry youths block federal highway in Benue

Some angry youths in Ihugh, Tse Mker, Vandeikya Local Government area of Benue, have mounted road blocks over government continuous failure to reconstruct major road in the area which have become a “death trap”.

The aggrieved youths were seen blocking the roads with woods and leaves.

The youths vow not to open the road until the government respond to their plights.

Our correspondent report that the women also came out for a peaceful demonstration on the road calling on their political representatives to wake up to their duties and fix the road which is the only major road in the area.

Vehicles heavily loaded with agricultural produces were seen collapsing on the road due to the poor state of the road while commuters were stranded as the youths block the only route in the area.

As at the time of filing this report the situation have not being brought to rest as the government is yet to answer them.
