The Secretary to Apa Local Government Area of Benue State, Hon. Baba Agida, is dead
He died on the afternoon of May 21, 2024, at an undisclosed hospital in Otukpo, following a prolonged illness.
Prior to his death, Agida was a leading contender for the caretaker chairmanship position, which was ultimately awarded to the incumbent, Hon. Ochai Aledu, a decision that came as a shock to him.
However, he was later appointed as the secretary of the local council as a consolation.
Agida is a native of Oiji ward in Apa LGA and is survived by his four children and young wife.
