BREAKING: APC projected winner of AMAC chairmanship election as INEC uploads early results

The All Progressives Congress (APC) is on course to win the Abuja Municipal Area Council (AMAC) chairmanship election, according to early results released on the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) IReV portal.

Collation from key wards shows APC taking a commanding lead across Gwarimpa, Karu, and Karshi:

Gwarimpa Ward: APC’s Christopher Maikalangu leads with 1,320 votes, while ADC’s Dr. Moses Paul has 618 votes. APC dominated Piwoiyi Primary Schools, Mabushi Primary School, and Gwarimpa Village Playground. ADC had notable votes in EFAB International School and Finance Quarters, Wuye.

Karu Ward: APC is ahead with 901 votes, compared to ADC’s 317 votes. Strongholds include UNG. Hausawa II / Old Market Square (133 votes), Jikwoyi/Esu Palace Phase 1 (96 votes), and Faith Link Global Pharmacy, Old Karu Road (103 votes). ADC performed best at Jikwoyi/Dagbanape / Fine Trust (34 votes) and Karu Site II (F.H.A. Customs Quarters) with 33 votes.

Karshi Ward: APC leads decisively with 1,011 votes, while ADC trails with 79 votes. Key polling units for APC include Karshi I/Central Primary School (136 votes), Karshi IV/Kofar Gidan Liman (133 votes), and Kusaki Village Centre (131 votes).

Early tallies from these wards indicate that APC is maintaining a clear advantage, while ADC struggles to gain significant ground. INEC has assured that collation is ongoing, and more results from other wards across AMAC will continue to be uploaded on the IReV portal throughout the day.
