The presidential candidate of the Peoples Democratic Party, PDP, in the forthcoming general election, Atiku Abubakar, has sent a powerful message to his co-contestants, IDOMA VOICE reports.

IDOMA VOICE reports that Atiku defeated Nyesom Wike, Bukola Saraki, and others to win the PDP ticket.

BREAKING: Wike reveals what he’ll do if he loses PDP ticket

The former VP polled 371 votes ahead of his main challenger, Wike 237 to win the ticket.

In his acceptance speech, Atiku called on those who vied for the ticket to join hands with him to take the party to a greater height.

Atiku said he needed Wike and other former aspirants to join him so they could remove the APC from power in 2023 general election.

He said, “I commended their courage and gallantry. This has indeed deepened our democracy.

“I am ready to cooperate and work with them and give them a sense of belonging. I appreciate their efforts and I look forward to working with them.”
