Bashir Machina, the Yobe North Senatorial candidate of the All Progressives Congress, has stepped down for Ahmad Lawan, President of the Senate.
IDOMA VOICE recalls that Machina, who won the APC ticket while Lawan was away to contest for president, has been under pressure to back out for Lawan.
Although Machina had vowed not to step down but from all indications, he had bowed to pressure.
This was confirmed by Lawan’s media aide, who posted a screenshot of INEC list senatorial candidates from Yobe.
