Prof. Terhemba Shija, one of the aspirants in the just concluded governorship primaries of the All Progressives Congress, APC, in Benue State, has described the exercise as a sham, charade and an aberration.
Shija said the election, which produced Rev Fr Hyacinth Alia as the party’s gubernatorial flag bearer in the state should not be allowed to stand.
Presenting a petition before the APC gubernatorial appeal committee at the party’s state secretariat on Monday, Shija called on the leadership of the APC to do the needful before it is too late.
He said, “The said election was a sham, a charade and an undemocratic exercise in futility. We will seek redress through every legal means available.
“It is on this note that I have vowed to sustain calls for outright cancellation of that fraudulent exercise.”
