There is wild jubilation in Ogbadibo LGA of Benue State as David Abah Umoru has emerged as consensus candidate of the Peoples Democratic Party, PDP, ahead of the local government council polls in the state.
The decision to settle for Umoru was reached at a stakeholders’ meeting of Ogbadibo leaders with Governor Samuel Ortom in Makurdi, on Monday.
One of the aspirants was booted out and asked to steer clear as he cannot eat his cake and have it.
The aspirant, who is a known thug and once led some thugs, including his brother, who was deported from the United State, to attack a journalist in Abuja, disgracefully and shamefully ate the humble pie and promised to take the exit door after a disastrous tenure.
He sluggishly accepted to work with Umoru, a native of Orokam, who has been overwhelmingly endorsed by the three districts that made Ogbadibo.
