Benue State University Teaching Hospital reduces medical bills

In a determined effort to realize one of Governor Hyacinth Alia’s visionary goals for the people of Benue and alleviate the pain associated with childbirth, while also expressing gratitude to mothers for their maternal love and care, the management of Benue State University Teaching Hospital, under the leadership of Dr. Terungwa Stephen Hwande, has implemented a significant reduction in the medical expenses for child delivery, now set at just N5,000.

Furthermore, the hospital has announced that medical cards will be provided free of charge to expectant mothers and children under the age of five at the Muhammadu Buhari Mother and Child Hospital, overseen by the Chief Medical Director, Dr. Stephen Terungwa Hwande.

In a statement to the press, Dr. Hwande explained that these measures have been taken to enhance healthcare services within the state for all residents of Benue, with a focus on establishing the hospitals as exemplars of best practices.

Dr. Hwande also expressed his concerns about the mismanagement strategies employed by previous administrations, which severely affected the overall condition of the BSUTH medical facility. He emphasized that the Alia-led administration, committed to the welfare of its citizens, is dedicated to ensuring that the medical sector in Benue State not only meets global standards but also serves as a benchmark for others to follow.

In conclusion, Dr. Hwande reassured the state of his unwavering commitment to assisting Governor Hyacinth Alia in fulfilling his campaign promises to the people of Benue, especially within his assigned responsibilities.
