Members of the dreaded Boko Haram sect and the Nigerian troops are currently in a gun battle at Yunusari local Government Area of Yobe State.
The soldiers are repelling the terrorists who are trying to Yunusari, Daily Post reports.
Report says residents of the area were reportedly running from the rain of bullets in the area.
The terrorists were said to have stormed the community at about 6:30pm when the people are preparing to go for the evening prayers.
