Baring any last minute change of mind, the Benue State Independent Electoral Commission would postpone the coming local government election.
A source at the commission hinted Idoma Voice on Sunday that the formal announcement would be made this week.
According to the source, the development followed the widespread of the deadly vires in the country.
As at Sunday, over 26 cases have been reported in Lagos, Oyo, Ekiti and FCT.
“The election might not hold. The will announce this before Wednesday,” the insider, who pleaded for anonymous said.
