The Federal High Court in Lagos has sentenced the controversial cross-dresser and social media personality, Idris Okuneye, popularly known as Bobrisky, to six months in prison.
Justice Abimbola Awogboro handed down the sentence of six months without the option of a fine.
Bobrisky has been in the custody of the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC) since his arrest last week.
He was apprehended by the EFCC on charges of abusing the local currency.
On April 5, Bobrisky pleaded guilty to a four-count charge of Naira abuse brought against him by the anti-graft agency.
