The spate of banditry plaguing Nigeria’s capital city, Abuja, has taken a distressing turn with the reported kidnapping of Aondo Ver, a director at the Federal Housing Authority in the Federal Capital Territory.
According to information gathered by our correspondent, the incident unfolded on Thursday at approximately 12:30 am in Pambara New Extension, Bwari Area Council. This location is situated about 200 meters from the military camp and checkpoint in Bwari Central Area.
The assailants, who have been unleashing terror in the region, killing and abducting unsuspecting citizens, reportedly gained access to the victim’s residence by cutting through the barbed wires on the fence.
As of the time of filing this report, the FCT Police Public Relations Officer, SP Josephine Adeh, has yet to respond to inquiries regarding the incident.
