BREAKING: DSS Arrests Omoyele Sowore on return to Nigeria

Omoyele Sowore, popular activist and politician, has reportedly been arrested by the Department of State Services (DSS) upon his arrival in Nigeria, IDOMA VOICE reports.

Fellow activist Deji Adeyanju confirmed the arrest to DAILY POST, stating, “Sowore was arrested by the jobless and lawless Nigerian government for calling for an End to Bad Governance protest.”

SaharaReporters also reported the development, stating: “NewsFlash: DSS Arrests Sowore Upon Arrival to Nigeria After Order by New DSS Boss.”

This comes after Sowore previously disclosed that Nigerian security forces were tracking him in his hometown of Ondo State, allegedly plotting to frame him with fabricated charges.

In a post on his verified Facebook page on Saturday, Sowore wrote, “Yeah! All around in my hometown, they’re tryin’ to track me down, yeah! They say they want to bring me in guilty. However, Babylon must fall! #FearlessInOctober.”
