The Department of State Services (DSS) has arrested Micheal Lenin, one of the leaders of the ongoing #Endbadgovernance protests in Abuja.
It was gathered tha Lenin was detained around 2 a.m. on Monday at his residence in Apo by DSS operatives.
Damilare Adenola, Director of Mobilisation for the Take It Back Movement, confirmed the arrest to Punch, stating that Lenin’s home was raided and he was allegedly assaulted by the DSS.
Adenola said, “Lenin was arrested during a raid at his house around 2 a.m.
He was detained and tortured in front of his family. We are demanding his immediate and unconditional release.”
As of press time, DSS spokesperson Peter Afunanya had not responded to requests for confirmation of the incident.
