EFCC arrests Bobrisky

The Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC) has taken into custody Idris Okuneye, widely known as Bobrisky, due to allegations of naira abuse, spraying of currency notes, and currency mutilation.

Bobrisky, a controversial figure who has been involved in numerous controversies recently, was apprehended on Wednesday night in Lagos and has since been held at the Lagos Command of the EFCC.

Confirming this development during a telephone interview on Thursday, the EFCC spokesperson, Dele Oyewale, stated that Bobrisky would face legal charges.

Oyewale remarked, “Bobrisky is currently in our custody. He was apprehended last night in Lagos and is being held at our Lagos command. We arrested him on accusations of abusing naira notes, spraying currency notes, and mutilating currency, among other allegations.”

“We are committed to upholding the integrity of the naira.

While our investigation is ongoing, he will be brought before the court in due course,” Oyewale added.
