Operatives of the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission, EFCC this morning stormed the residence of Benue APC State Chairman, Comr. Prince Abba Yaro in Judges Quarters, Makurdi to seal up the building.
According to the EFCC, the initial owner of the property had secured a loan with the bank, using the landed property as collateral and has defaulted in repayment.
However, Comr. Yaro had followed due process in securing the land from the initial title holder and there was no document indicating that the property was given out as collateral.
The APC party chairman has since contacted his lawyers and the matter will be sorted out.
