BREAKING: Fire razes popular Masaka market in Nasarawa

A fire at the Masaka market in the Karu local government area of Nasarawa state has left many traders facing significant losses.

The blaze, which broke out around 10 PM on Friday night, has caused widespread devastation among the market vendors, according to eyewitness accounts.

As of the time of this report, fire service personnel had not arrived to control the flames, with parts of the market still ablaze.

This incident marks the second major fire to hit the market, with the last one occurring in 2019.

Footage from Channels Television showed traders expressing their grief over the damage, while scavengers combed through the charred remains in search of valuables.

In the aftermath of the fire, traders are urging the government to step in and provide assistance to help them recover from their losses.
