The Federal Inland Revenue Service (FIRS) has officially announced the opening of its recruitment portal for tax officers nationwide, effective from 12:00 AM on November 2, 2024.
This announcement follows the FIRS’s earlier notification in October regarding plans to recruit Tax Officers I and Tax Officers.
The recruitment exercise will take place in six states: Abia, Anambra, Ebonyi, Enugu, Imo, Ekiti, Lagos, and Oyo.
Note: Relevant master’s degrees and professional affiliations (e.g., ICAN, ACCA, ANAN, COREN, NSE) will be advantageous.
Interested candidates can submit their applications through the official FIRS recruitment portal at www.firs.gov.ng/careers.
Candidates should apply to only one of the specified locations. Women, minorities, and persons with disabilities are strongly encouraged to apply. The FIRS warns against fraudulent recruitment activities and advises candidates to use only the official website for applications.
Successful candidates must be willing to work at any FIRS business location. Only shortlisted candidates will be contacted for further assessments, which may include aptitude tests, interviews, and medical examinations.
