A tragic fuel tanker explosion has claimed the lives of at least 30 individuals along the Agaie-Bida road in Niger State this morning.
It was gathered that the explosion occurred when the tanker collided with a trailer transporting cattle from Wudil, Kano State, to Lagos.
Abdullahi Arah, Director General of the Niger State Emergency Management Agency (NSEMA), confirmed the fatalities and stated that 30 bodies have been recovered so far.
Arah also mentioned that emergency teams remain on-site, continuing search and rescue operations as more bodies are believed to be trapped within the wreckage.
