Tragedy was averted on Thursday when a fully loaded 30-seater coaster bus went up in flames along the Nnyanya Mararaba road.
IDOMA VOICE gathered that the vehicle was from Maraba heading to Abuja town before it was engulfed by fire at Mopol junction.
It was learnt that the incident led to a serious gridlock on the road.
An eye witness told IDOMA VOICE correspondent that the passengers ran out of the bus immediately the vehicle caught fire.
“The bus burnt down completely, but fortunately the passengers ran out of the vehicle immediately it caught fire,” the eyewitness who spoke under anonymity told our reporter.
The cause of the inferno is yet to be ascertained as at the time of filing this report.
Efforts by newsmen to get comment of the Federal Road Safety Corps (FRSC) proved abortive as the telephone lines of a spokesman of the corp weren’t connecting.
