Goods worth millions of naira were destroyed Monday morning after fire engulfed the Otukpo main market in Benue State.
IDOMA VOICE gathered that the fire started about 6am but could not be put out due to absence of fire fighters.
According to a resident, Iliya Hassan, the fire fighters couldn’t help because they is no road network in Otukpo main market.
“OH our helpless. Traders in Otukpo main market. No road network in Otukpo market for fire fighters to help . We are in the state of doom,” he wrote on his Facebook wall.
