Governor Monday Okpebholo of Edo State has announced the formation of a Committee to investigate the previous administration of Godwin Obaseki over its failure to swear in 14 elected lawmakers for the 7th Edo State Assembly.
IDOMA VOICE reports that Okpebholo revealed this decision during his inaugural address as the newly elected governor of the state.
Additionally, Governor Okpebholo has directed the State Chief Judge to launch an immediate investigation into the delay by former Governor Obaseki in swearing in judges who had been duly cleared by the National Judicial Council (NJC) last year.
