According to reports, no fewer than seven persons have feared dead in Abiem, an outskirt of Makurdi, the Benue state capital, on Tuesday morning, following an attack on the community by suspected gunmen.
IDOMA VOICE gathered that many houses were also burnt down by the hoodlums with scores injured.
The attack was said to had occurred in the early hours of Tuesday, around Radio Nigeria Makurdi, Harvest FM.
The Benue State Police Command is yet to comment on the incident as at the time of filing this report.
Krayzieetee Atu, a local blogger, broke the news on social media (Facebook) on Tuesday.
The blogger wrote: “Unknown Gunmen invaded Abiem Community around harvest Fm this morning, murdered about 7 people and razed down many Houses.”
