Armed men abducted four students from Nasarawa State University, Keffi (NSUK). The abduction occurred near Angwan Kare following BCG.
According to an eyewitness, the incident took place around 10:30 p.m.
The kidnapped students have been identified as Rahila Hanya (SLT 100Level), Josephine Gershon (Computer Science 100Level), Rosemary Samuel (Business Administration 100Level), and Goodness Samuel (Geography 100Level).
Responding to the alarming situation, the Student Union Government chairman, Comrade Oshafu Nuhu Abdulrahman, issued a statement condemning the act. He called upon students to maintain composure and unite in prayers, assuring that efforts are underway to secure their safe release.
Chairman Abdulrahman urged students to stay vigilant and promptly report any suspicious activity in and around the school premises. He emphasized the importance of cooperation with security agencies for effective response and resolution.
“The Students’ Union Government, under the leadership of Comrade Oshafu Nuhu Abdulrahman, wishes to condemn the barbaric act which occurred last night where four students (Rahila Hanya-5LT 100 Level, Josephine Gershon-COM. SCIENCE 100 Level, Rosemary Samuel-BUSINESS ADMIN 100 Level, and Goodness Samuel-Geography 100 Level) of our noble institution were kidnapped.
“We urge everyone to remain calm and join hands in prayer as efforts are in place to secure their release in sound health.
“Lastly, students are advised to be on alert and to report any suspicious movement around the campuses to enable swift response from security agencies attached to student communities,” he said.
