BREAKING: Gunshots rock Dutse Makaranta as ‘iron condemn’, landlords clash

Gunshots rocked Dutse Makaranta in Bwari Area Council of the Federal Capital Territory, on Friday as some landlords and scavengers popularly known as iron condemn clashed

Report says the Federal Capital Territory Administration (FCTA) had demolished over hundred houses in the area between Wednesday and Friday.

Trouble, however, began when some of the scavengers, who are mostly Hausa boys, stormed the area and carted away valuables belonging to the displaced landlords.

A resident told Daily Post that the boys stormed the demolition site on Thursday night and went away with several items.

Angered by this, some of the landlords confronted and chased them away.
The boys, however, went and teamed up and returned to attack the residents.

The timely intervention of police averted the situation from getting out of hand as they shot repeatedly to disperse the hoodlums.
