BREAKING: Gunshots rock Otukpo as Young Alhaji’s thugs clash with young man for overtaking his convoy (PHOTOS)

There was pandemonium in Otukpo on Tuesday night as some thugs believed to be working for Usman Abubakar (Young Alhaji), the senatorial candidate of the Advance People Democratic Alliance in Benue South attacked a young man for reportedly overtaking his convoy.

It was gathered that Abubakar, was driving along Ojira road in Otukpo when a young man reportedly overtook his convoy and he allegedly ordered his convoy to go after him.

The young man (name withheld) who sensed the danger took off with his 406 Peugeot and the politician and his team went after him.

His orderly reportedly opened fire on him and chased him to his family residence in Igbanonmaje and busted two of his tyres.

However, residents of the area, who were angered by the show of power, held Ahaji and his team and insisted he must pay for the two tyres.

His efforts to calm the situation met brick walls as the youths of the area insisted he must pay for the tyres.

He eventually dropped N30,000 as advance payment before he was allowed to go.

However, all efforts made to reach the Senatorial candidate as at the time of this report didn’t yield any fruit.
