BREAKING: Heavy gunshots as hoodlums attack Odoba community in Otukpa

There was apprehension in Odoba community in Ai..Onoo1 council ward, Otukpa, the headquarters of Ogbadibo Local Government area of Benue state, on Tuesday afternoon as masked gunmen reportedly invaded the town.

IDOMA VOICE gathered that the hoodlums stormed the popular Eke market square in Odoba Ogaje and started shooting sporadically.

A source who is a native of the community confirmed the attack to IDOMA VOICE correspondent.

“The masked men numbering about eight arrived the market square in three motorcycles and started shooting sporadically,” the source said.

He said the situation has thrown the area into panicking as residents fears more attacks may follow especially in the night.

He, however, said no casualty or injury was recorded.

He called on the appropriate authorities to act fast and arrest the situation before it deteriorate.

As at the time of filing this report, the police was yet to comment on the incident.
