Confirming the incident, Abimbola Oyeyemi, the police spokesperson in the state said the hoodlums broke into the House of Assembly in the early hours of the day and carted away the mace.
The police, however, said the coat of arms has been recovered but the stick is still missing.
The Ogun police command has launched Investigations to unravel the culprits and their motive behind the break in, PRO Oyeyemi disclosed.
