He also established the Ifeanyi Ubah Foundation, a charitable organization named after him.

In September 2022, Ubah narrowly escaped an assassination attempt. He was attacked by gunmen on his way to Nnewi in Enugwu-Ukwu, Anambra State. His convoy was ambushed, resulting in the deaths of at least five people, including two policemen. Ubah survived the attack due to the bulletproof nature of his vehicle.
