Reports emerged on Saturday morning claiming that Ifeanyi Ubah, the Senator representing Anambra South Senatorial District, has passed away. The report, published by StreetJournal, stated that the senator died the previous night.
Ifeanyi Ubah was a Nigerian politician, entrepreneur, and businessman. He served as the CEO of Capital Oil (CCO), a company he founded in 2001. Ubah was married to Uchenna, a Business Administration graduate from Ahmadu Bello University, Nigeria, and they had five children together. He also established the Ifeanyi Ubah Foundation, a charitable organization named after him.
In September 2022, Ubah narrowly escaped an assassination attempt. He was attacked by gunmen on his way to Nnewi in Enugwu-Ukwu, Anambra State. His convoy was ambushed, resulting in the deaths of at least five people, including two policemen. Ubah survived the attack due to the bulletproof nature of his vehicle.
As of the time of this report, the news of Ifeanyi Ubah’s death remains unconfirmed. Further details will be provided as they become available.
