There was jubilation all over the land of Igede on Thursday following the declaration of David Ogewu of the All Progressives Grand Alliance, APGA, as winner of the just-concluded Oju/Obi House of reps election.
Okwu, a member of the PDP had wanted to hold tight to the seat despite his woeful performance in the house but was given a deadly blow by the people of Igede nation.
Known for his arrogance and bad attitude, Okwu has never made a single contribution since his election in 2011 and has not sponsored any bill.
INEC on Thursday said there won’t be any rerun, affirming that Ogewu won the election.
IDOMA VOICE gathered that Okwu broke down in tears on hearing the sad and painful news.
