BREAKING: Kaduna boils again, seven killed in fresh attack
Residents of Jemaa Local Government Area mourn as unknown gunmen on Sunday, November 29, killed seven persons in a fresh attack on the community.
The incident comes barely 24 hours after Boko Haram insurgents killed about 45 farmers at Kwashebe, Borno State.
Samuel Aruwan, the State’s Commissioner for Internal Security and Home Affairs, who confirmed the incident to Channels TV said the attack occurred in the early hours of Sunday at Ungwan Bido village.
He revealed that seven residents of the community were killed, and four persons were brutally injured.
The Commissioner, who disclosed that the gunmen set four houses ablaze, stated that two children are still missing from the community.
Aruwan noted that the attack comes on the heels of a reported killing of one herder identified as Isiyaka Saidu on Saturday, November 28.
Kaduna State Governor, Nasir El-Rufai, who condemned the recent attacks and loss of lives in Jemaa local Government, said he has directed security operatives to investigate and arrest all perpetrators of the criminal act.
He also directed the State Emergency Management Agency (SEMA) to provide relief materials to residents whose houses were burnt and those injured in the attack.
