Kano State Governor Abba Yusuf has reshuffled his cabinet, abolished the Chief of Staff (CoS) position, and dismissed the Secretary to the State Government (SSG), Abdullahi Bichi.
The announcement was made on Thursday during a press briefing by the Governor’s spokesperson, Sanusi Bature Dawakin-Tofa.
In a statement, Governor Yusuf explained that the reshuffle was part of efforts to realign his administration for “optimum performance” and to enhance the delivery of “dividends of democracy” to Kano State residents.
As part of the changes, the Chief of Staff position has been completely eliminated, while Deputy Governor Aminu Abdussalam has been reassigned to another ministry.
