Kidnappers of former House of Reps aspirant, Agaba Ochoche, have demanded for a ransom of N10 million for his freedom.
IDOMA VOICE reported Friday night that Ochoche was whisked away from his house at gunpoint and was matched into the bush at Otukpo-Icho village.
“We heard gunshots and ran towards the direction only to discover that our brother has been kidnapped at gunpoint.
“His wife pointed at the direction which he was taken to but we only saw his footwears and Glo SIM card. We are trying to find more traces, our youths are seriously searching,” he said
However, latest information before IDOMA VOICE is that the daredevil kidnappers are demanding for the sum of N10m for his release.
A local security operative in the area told our correspondent that the abductors called want the money paid as soon as possible.
“Initially, the demanded for N10m but they are now saying 8million last,” the source said.
However, when our reporter called the Benue State Police PRO, Kate Anene, she said, “I’m yet to get any information on the development but will contact the DPO and get back to you immediately.”
