IDOMA VOICE reports that there was pandemonium at the Federal Secretariat, Abuja, on Monday following a protest by the taxi drivers in the Federal Capital Territory over the activities of Vehicle Inspection Office, VIO.
The protesters alleged that the officials of the VIO have allegedly continued to harass and collect illegal levies from them.
It was gathered that Union leaders are preventing taxi drivers from operating by stopping their vehicles and telling their passengers to alight.
Details of the incident are still sketchy as of press time.
