Hon. Muhammed Danasabe Muhammed, Chairman of the Lokoja Local Government Council, has passed away. The unfortunate incident unfolded around 4:30 am at a hospital in Lokoja, the state capital.
Muhammed was rushed to the hospital after collapsing at his residence, following his active involvement in a series of political meetings gearing up for the forthcoming governorship election scheduled for Saturday.
A family source revealed that Muhammed was swiftly taken to Shifa Hospital, Lokoja, soon after he collapsed at his home late Thursday night. Despite efforts, doctors pronounced him clinically dead at 4:30 am on Friday.
Hailing from ward B in the cantonment area of Lokoja, the deceased is set to be laid to rest at the Unguwan Kura Muslim cemetery following the Juma’at prayer on Friday.
The sudden and tragic news drew sympathizers to his family residence in the cantonment areas of Lokoja. Muhammed leaves behind his mother, wife, and children, grieving his unexpected departure.
The confirmation of his demise was also affirmed by the Public Relations Officer (PRO) of the All Progressives Congress (APC) in Lokoja, Talba Lakwaja, in an official statement.
“The remains of the Lokoja Local Government Council Chairman, Hon. Mohammed Dasebe Mohammed, will be buried at Anguwan Kura burial ground at 2 pm immediately after Juma’at prayer. The body will depart from his family house in cantonment to Lokoja Central Mosque by 1:30 pm,” Lakwaja stated.
