Gunmen believed to be Fulani herdsmen Thursday attacked a fully loaded Benue Links bus traveling to Otukpo along the Naka road in Gwer West Local Government Area, at Tyolaha village.
The assailants mercilessly attacked the passengers, resulting in the tragic loss of several passengers and several others injured.
Benue Police Public Relations Officer, Anekwe Catherine, confirmed the harrowing incident, stating, “Today, unknown gunmen attacked a Benue Links bus en route to Otukpo, resulting in three wounded passengers, including women, and one fatality.”
