Multiple residents of Otukpo, Benue State, are reported to have been killed in an attack carried out by suspected armed robbers.
The incident occurred when the gunmen invaded several banks in Otukpo, firing their weapons indiscriminately at around 3 pm on a Friday.
An eyewitness, Sunday Abah, expressed concern about the prolonged attack, which had been going on for several hours without any apparent security intervention.
He specifically mentioned that the armed robbers were targeting Zenith Bank during the ongoing attack.
